An open art space with a focus on clay

Pottery Classes

"The fascination that clay holds for many people can be satisfied and expanded through our classes. Touching clay and making an object out of it is an amazing experience: seductive, tactile and immediate. And it's fun!"

Strictly Handbuilding

Class started Tuesday, May 20. 2008

More sessions will be scheduled if there is a demand

The class represents a different approach to clay. We will use the extruder to create hollow forms which will then be combined and manipulated. Possible projects may include garden art, large vases and sculptural forms.

The class is six weeks meeting for three hours on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 - 9:00. The fee is $120. A material and firing fee may be applied to large projects to cover costs. This class is open to ages 12-100.

Throwing on the wheel

Classes started the week of May 19, 2008

Next six week class sessions starts July 14, and September 8, 2008

You can learn to throw pottery on the potters; wheel. Make your own cereal bowl, coffee mug, tea bowl or invent an object.

We offer evening classes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00. Classes are one three hour session per week for six weeks. Morning classes are available Wednesday mornings 10:00 to 1:00.

The fee is $120 and includes 25 pounds of clay, glazing, firing and free practice time in the studio. Class sizes are small so you will be given plenty of one-on-one attention. These classes are intended for ages 15 and up.
